The Largest Jade Sculpture in the World

The colossal jade carving entitled Confucian Temple is a 1/10th scale reproduction of the ancient main Confucian Temple located in Qufu Shandong. It was hand carved using over 10 tons of green glazed jade and 5 kilograms of 24K gold leaf. The late Master Jade artesian Wu Jinde labored over 45,000 hours creating this magnificent piece.

In creating the work Master Wu Jinde selected 10 tons from about one hundred ton of good green glazed jade. The awe-inspiring work measures 6.3 meters long 5.7 meters wide and 3.45 meters high.

 The door and windows of Confucian Temple are consisted of hollowed out pictures with exquisite workmanship. The principal hall and the board hangings on the central gate are carved with dragon pictures and inlaid with 24 K gold leaf.  Steps and 10 pillars have two flying dragons. Every of 18 octagonal pillars have 72 dragons. The roof of veranda is inlaid with 400dragons. The bottom of the works with is made of rosewood has 72 flying dragons.
